Girls, in Boy Scouts??

January 3, 2025 Happy New Year!

as of February 2025, Boy Scouts of America will be re-named as Scouting America. Girls were welcomed into the Boy Scout program since 2019. With the blessing of the Troop Committee and our chartered institution St Demetrios we applied to start a girls program.

We are happy to announce that Troop 23G (GIRLS!!!) has been approved by Greater New York councils and is waiting for final approval from the National Scouting America offices. We are currently signing up girls in grades 6 - 12 to join our Troop. We currently have 4 girls in our program two of which just joined and two which came up from our cub scout pack with their Arrow of Light.
